      <image:title>About CVC - Laramie Vision Clinic</image:title>
<image:caption>In 2012 the Laramie Vision Clinic was established in historic downtown Laramie, WY, adding quality eye care access for our neighbors over the hill. We were sad to lose our original century-old clinic building in 2014 to a devastating fire that spread from a neighboring apartment, but we have always embraced the ‘finish-what-you-start’ and ‘pick yourself up-dust yourself off-start all over again’ Wyoming Cowboy Spirits and resolved to rebuild that lost downtown building in a style fitting its historic location. In spite of unforeseen hardships and delays, we are excited to see our new building arise again, now better than ever! The incredible outpouring of support by caring members of the community during this endeavor has been inspiring and humbling. Eye Care in “LARADISE”</image:caption>

      <image:title>Dry Eye Treatment - Dry Eye Treatment</image:title>
<image:caption>Wyoming is beautiful but nearly everyone who lives here will experience dry eye. Dry Eye is a condition where the eye doesn’t produce enough quality tears to keep the eye lubricated. Symptoms of dry eyes include: blurred vision, excess watering, and irritated, gritty, scratchy or burning eyes. Treatments for dry eyes aim to restore or maintain the normal amount of tears in the eye to minimize dryness and related discomfort and to maintain eye health and preserve vision. Many factors can cause Dry Eye including: age, gender, pregnancy, medications, environmental conditions, and medical conditions The doctors at Cheyenne Vision Clinic are experts at identifying Dry Eye with Lipiscan, special testing and microscopes We offer treatments customized for your needs: from prescription eye drops and punctal plugs to the newest treatment technologies. Lipiflow and LipiView LipiFlow® treats dry eye caused by Meibomium Gland Disease (MGD) by warming and massaging the inside of the eyelids to restore healthy oil production and improve tear quality. Patients are evaluated to determine whether they suffer from MGD using LipiView®, an imaging device specifically designed to view the Meibomian glands (See Image). Intense Pulsed Light Therapy for Chronic Dry Eye and Skin Photoaging Introduced in 1994, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) was initially used by dermatologists as a skin treatment for the effects of photoaging. IPL is used as a treatment for a range of skin issues like pigmentation, scars, spider veins, rosacea, acne and wrinkles. IPL is also a dry eye treatment that addresses the root cause of most dry eye issues: meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). For patients with this condition, the meibomian glands are blocked, damaged, or do not function properly, which results in a decrease in oil production and eventually dry eye symptoms due to tear dehydration and evaporation. A 2012 study published in the journal Cornea showed that 86% of study participants with dry eye also had symptoms of MGD. IPL uses short but powerful bursts of light of a specific wavelength to gently heat the skin around the meibomian glands, which in turn, melts any obstructions present in the glands. With the removal of any obstructions, the glands gain increased oil production that results in healthy tears.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Contact lenses are a wonderful way to provide sharp vision without glasses and are rapidly changing and improving as the technology for these medical devices progresses. Contact lenses have become the conventional way to provide enhanced vision for sports, outdoors and all-day use. Our doctors are up-to-date on the newest designs, allowing more people to enjoy the convenience of contacts than ever before! There are even bifocal and mono-vision contacts that can make reading without glasses possible! Exciting news, our doctors provide the latest in astigmatism contact lenses. Get rid of the solutions and preservatives altogether with daily disposable contact lenses. Contact Lens Examination An eye examination is different than a contact lens examination. The prescription for contact lenses is different than the prescription for glasses. Following an eye examination our doctors perform a contact lens examination. This includes determining the contact lens power, fitting curve, size, material and solutions necessary for you to have healthy and comfortable contact lens wear. This process may take more than one visit. Let our qualified doctors ensure that the contact lenses appropriately match the curvature of your eyes and that the healthiest choice of contact lens material, wearing time and care products are available for you to greatly reduce your risk of infection or discomfort. Help and care for first time contact wearers is one of our passions!</image:caption>

<image:title>Eye Health and Contact Lens Examinations - Annual Medical Eye Health Examinations</image:title>
<image:caption>Eye Health Examination (Different from Eyesight Test) During a medical eye health examination our doctors evaluate the health of your eyes, detect disease, and protect your long-term vision. Our comprehensive Eye Health Examination uses advanced diagnostic imaging to assess the entire visual system—cornea, retina, optic nerve, tear glands, and functional vision—not just whether you need glasses. This level of medical evaluation ensures early detection of eye diseases, personalized treatment, and superior visual outcomes. Our doctors determine your eyeglass prescription and make personalized recommendations to optimize your vision. This is different from an online eyesight test that estimates how clearly you see. — We accept VSP, EyeMed, and Spectera vision plans. Contact Lens Examination An eye examination is different than a contact lens examination. The prescription for contact lenses is different than the prescription for glasses. If you are here for contact lenses, following an eye health examination our doctors perform a contact lens examination. This includes determining the contact lens power, fitting curve, size, material and solutions necessary for you to have healthy and comfortable contact lens wear. This process may take more than one visit. Glasses and Contact Lens Prescriptions Once a final glasses or contact lens prescription is determined by your doctor, you will be provided with a copy.</image:caption>
